Astoria bridge video

Well it was a Sunny day with temps ranging from the 40's in shady spots along the rivers to 70 on sunny hill sides,a real bonus here in the PAC NW in late October when it's usually 60 degs tops with monsoon rains.
The wife hopped on board and we headed through the coast range mountains on a series of twisty back roads following first the Nehalem River and later the Miami River eventually dropping into Garibali,Oregon on the PCH 101.
We stopped for a visit with my Brother and his wife for a while,they just retired and bought a home in Garibaldi after 30 years in the same little house in Portland.
Quite a life style change for them coming from the big city to a very small and sleepy little coastal village.
From there we headed back North along the 101 and crossed the 4 mile long bridge over the mouth of the Columbia River at Astoria back into Washington.
I have a couple videos,so far just the Astoria part loaded but there will be more to come.

I haven't been back out to Astoria, Oregon since my brother was station there ..that was in 1976..It is a cool town.. We went the other way, down the coast line to Lewis and Clark park, climb up in the lighthouse, then drove down to Seaside, Oregon...

J-B,Astoria hasn't changed much but from Warrenton just across the bay on South growth has been everywhere,Seaside has changed a lot.
These days I prefer the South Coast because there are just too damn many people on the North closer to Portland but it's still stunning country.
