I wish there were more like him..... On my business trips I see how the airport crowds are looking at the troops now, and it is not pretty. In 2005 when I came back, people smiled and said "Thank You" now the solider is a shadow in the dark.

I have been welcomed home this way twice in Bangor Main after my trips to the sand box. It is a great feeling to know that you are appreciated. The Main group was like the TX group, there were people there every day to welcome us home the first time we stepped back into America. Not just a few people either, they had large groups both times. I know that like many others that was there with me, I will never forget it. Thanks for sharing , it is good to hear good news about the Iraq thing for a change.

Bangor, Maine does this for every flight, going or coming. I mean every flight. 24/7. Hats off to the Men and Women from Bangor. It was overwelming to see the hospitality. Food, drinks, and cell phones to call home. Sad to say that we had two less coming back with us.
