Its not much at this point....

but it sure is going to keep me busy this winter. At this point it is stripped and going through the clean up phase. Its a 1948 and I think probably it has sat in a barn for the last 20 yrs or so until I stumbled across it. It started out as a military green so I assume it was used for military purposes at one time. Its going to be a very cool project and one that is very different for me. Forks are done, had to make a new headlight nacelle as the old one was rusted away. In this pic they are just in zinc primer to keep the rust at bay.

That thing is going to be a killer. Now where did yopu find that? I'm going to have to start looking around a little harder me thinks. Greta project dude, congratulations are in order.....have fun with that

Thanks man. My job takes me all over the province and everytime I bump into someone I ask about old bikes / barns etc. It finaly clicked and I found this one. They are out there man.

great pics so far, keep us in on the progress.........went and priced a building today so I'd have a clean dry place to work on one myself ( that is when I find one)

Hopefully my next assignment will get me someplace with a garage :cry_smile:

Of course finding an old Harley in Japan isn't an easy task either - congrats on the find...I'll be eagerly awaiting updates :)

Spent a few hours prepping the frame last night. Frame looks awesome, no surprises. The engine is on its way so once I get that I can find a back wheel (still looking) and I can line it all up and fab some motor mounts. Things are plugging away slowly, it sure is a fun one to do.
