I had to shut off the internet early yesterday so today I will explain my workshop. On the top and bottem picture is my drill press that I made into a light duty milling machine with the head turned backwords for now to be used for a couple drilling and grinding operations. As pictured are some masonry blades used for grinding rocks. On the bottem pic you will notice my unimat lathe mounted above the xy table. A simple compound vice doubles as a toolholder and ables me to do double bevel cuts by adjusting the angle of the lathe to the xy table.
In the other pics is me and my wifes lapidary saw and an arbor that we mount diamond wheels into for rock polishing.
I also do some knifemaking with all this eqiupment and in the meantime have also mounted a 2x72 belt grinder sanderand a horizontal polishing wheel. I also have a wood lathe that again doules as a grinder and rock saw soon as I replace the bushings.
A balder grinder that has been waterproofed tops off this combination workshop and in the near future I will be setting up my general workbench in another area for rough work like draw filing and hammer finnishing metal and another workbench for woodworking. My wife has claimed one area for her jewelry making table.
This summber I will be biulding a new workshop for the motorcycles and a tarp garage for my truck and other mechanical work.
I will keep yall posted.

The wife and I like to make things. She is realy good at wire wrapped jewelry and she can also make nice cabachones from precious stones. I am not as good as she is at that so I make rock slabs and some pendants and the odd arrowhead from time to time, but I like metalworking better. Sure cutting rocks is fun but I leave the finer pionts to her. Some of this eqiupment will also be used for making spike nuts and handgrips, pegs and other spun metal items for the bike and some stuff for the old truck. I need a few more tools for the lathe and mill but for now I am going to be putting my energy towards prepping a shop outside and biulding a blacksmiths shelter for next winter. Dont worry I havent forgot the bikes yet. It all works togather. I feel if one tool cant do more than one job, then I dont need it.
A little confession. I hate doing mechanical work on bikes. I can but dont like it. I like bodywork and painting and will do my own tuneups and emergency work but as far as a mechanical problem, I would rather pay somebody else to do it and biuld items to put on the bike. So that explains why my workshop is set up for construction than repairing.
