. You might also want to mention to the folks with thing like that new fangled fuel injection, not to probe related wires with the pcm or ignition modules hooked up. That can get expensive. (you just did, thanks for input)
Btw, those snap on bulbs can be replaced with common tube bulbs. For those who dont know, the snap on lights came with a special little bulb that was like a mini flouresent bulb...replacement cost around 12.00(when mine blew out).
test lights should absolutely never be used on circuitry. their draw to light up bulb may cause damage to components. test lights can be used to check light wiring, horn, ignition(coil),and fuses. A Digital meter should be used on FI and other computer controlled modules.
