Sunday pics May 18th
I usually ride solo or with one or two others tops but a friend at work invited me along today and there were five bikes in all.
I had the wife on board and we ended up leading the pack since I know the roads better than anyone else. My EGC an RK two Sportys and a new Heritage Softail. We rode up the Columbia River Gorge then dropped down for a loop in Central Oregon. First stop was at Cape Horn on WA SR 14.   After crossing into Oregon at The Dalles we rode to White River Falls State Park.  This recent heat wave is making many of the streams coming off the Cascades brown with mud and high volume waters due to our unusually high snowpack this winter and sudden record temps this week. The White River is brown today.  After getting back to the Gorge,the others wanted to head back but the wife and I wanted to ride some more so we said our goodbyes and aimed the glide North toward Mt.Adams in Washington.  The Klickitat River Canyon near Glenwood.    Coming into Glenwood we get up close to the mountain,this is a wild mountain and all wilderness area totally undeveloped.   Great day ride,From Glenwood we rode to Trout Lake and followed the White Salmon river back to the Columbia then West for home. All told about about 435 miles today.
