Exo100??
Need a half helmet for a motorcycle class I'm taking later. Looking at the Scorpion EXO100 or the Shoei St. Cruz. Anyone have comments on either of them? Probably going to buy it this morning so I probably posted this too late.
Also interested in comments on general wearability. A trip this summer will take me to several helmet law states. A lot of half helmets tend to feel like they're trying to yank your head off your shoulders when riding fast. I'm thinking maybe one of these would be better for the trip, although I'll take a face shield helmet for rainy days. I have a Scorpion EXO 700 which was comfortable for 2 days in the rain and an HJC 3/4 which made my head feel like lead after wearing it for 550 miles in one day. Neither are really suitable for a class, and both aren't good when riding slow on hot days.

I'm going thru the same debate, but one of my big requirements is cost, the class is the only time I would ever wear a 1/2.
I'm looking at the Bell 3/4's, just 'cause I might actually wear that again, and they are cheap. HJC makes one that looks like it would vent good, but looks kinda funky.

That HJC 3/4 really frigging hurt after wearing it all day. Don't know if it was the balance or what, but it felt like it weighed 300 lbs and was attached to as spring trying to rip my head and neck off my shoulders. Plus the visor allowed rain to leak between it and the helmet onto my glasses when riding slow.
The EXO on the other hand just felt like it isolated me from the outside world. My head and neck were fine after wearing it across Illinois, Missouri and Kansas in the rain. I don't want my ears covered for this class. I'll wear it on nice days in helmet law states if it won't yank my head back.

$175 for a 1/2 helmet seems like alot of money, unless its some kind of lightweight material. My 1/2 makes me look like a mushroom.
