APPLE PIE SLICES

Crust

2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup shortening (room temp)

Cut in to mix until dough is pea-sized.

Add 4 TBSP cold water. Stir until dough is clingy. Pat into ball: divide into 2 balls. Roll each ball with flour on table and rolling pin into a rectangle.

Place lower crust into buttered 13 x 9 pan.

Mix Together

8 sliced apples (McIntosh)
3/4 cup sugar
2 TBSP flour
1 tsp cinnamon

Place in pan.

Slice 1,2 stick of butter into patties. Place on top of apples.

Put top crust on.

Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes or until crust is golden and apples are bubbly. Cool.

Frost with:

1 cup powdered sugar
2 TBSP soft butter
1 tsp vanilla
small amount of milk

i aint being a smart ass i want to try this and know very little about stuf that cant be grilled

You use a pastry cutter/blender to work the shortening into the flour mixture (try googling a picture of it) until the texture is pea-sized. Then you divide the dough ball in half and roll the ball out with the rolling pin to the size of the pan. You will need to use extra flour as you roll the dough so it doesn't stick to the rolling pin.


The recipe turns out like apple pie but in a pan rather than a round pie dish.
