Trying out chrome
I just downloaded it and using it here now. first thing i notice that seems odd is chrome web page does not fill up my computer screen. probably just some adjustment i need to make. and i see it has spell check on it also. it has to be better than IE. going to take some getting used to. Chopper, i might be asking more questions about navigating around or just simple stupid crap about this.

i didnt like it showed each website that was visited.. maybe i didnt know what i was doing which is most likely

No Prebs, you had it right. It does like to keep a trail. Fortunately, they also have "incognito" mode which, upon closing the window, deletes any pages, cookies and cache. I'm sure with enough digging the trail can still be found, but your kids/spouse/boss/other won't find it (unless they happen to be an IT pro).
There are a few things I'd like to see tweaked (like being able to erase the "recently visited" list), but overall I think it's a good opening offering from Google. (Of course, for the record, I'm typing this in a Firefox browser.)

yeah oh ff i don't keep history or stuff stored.. i hate stuff popping up as i type or search ..... though i cant figure out how to shut off sites i have visited it seems to store them....
chrome is in the test mode? maybe they will tweak with all those issues
