I don't know it Cox offers it or not, but our provider offers different cable options. I think it's upload/download amounts in bps. Does bandwidth affect speed or is it only capacity?

Bandwidth is the amount of data that can be access at one time. This becomes important when you have multiple computers accessing the connection at one time.
Speed is your connection rate and will make up for a smaller bandwidth. Call your cable provider and ask for a faster connection and they will tell you what is available. The faster the connection, the higher the monthly charge.
