The Kennedy Center Honors

To be Honest...I aint no Audiophile..
I mean.. I can hardly name the song let alone the Group that sings it. I can go months without *Turning on the Tunes* and it dont mean nothing to me...
Sure there are and have been songs that struck a chord...got my blood boiling... fired up my spirit... or stirred My heart, If its got a beat/tone/energy and I can Feel it, I'll it file away somewhere in my soul.
The Taps, Ironman, Stairway to Heaven, Amarillo by Morning, Wagners Flight of the Valkyries, Cat in the Cradle and The Who to name a few. But on average, I dont pay it much heed.

Tonite the File was opened,
Just got through watching the The Kennedy Center Honors, one of tonites Honories are Pete Townsend and Roger Daltry... And watching the tribute to The Who and the impact they had on MY generation.
Maybe the Back Story or the Images from my youth or the Video of the 911 Concert they had has something to do with it... dont know and dont care.. I FELT it.. actually brought freaking tears to my eyes...

I knew you were an old hippy if I ever seen one, seen Zepplin, The Who, 3 Dog Night, Boss Scaggs, etc.. the greatest rock and roll era ever glad I lived it. Its Blues now, the new rock sucks

No shit, the new rock really does suck! I hear only a few new good songs, I always end up switching the channel over to a oldie channel. Does this mean I am getting old?

Daaaayum...BB King. I was watching it trying remember Who that was!! I really thinking there is something to the saying about getting old...the memory is the second thing to go.
