Dumb question

So last night I was watching TV and started to wonder if shows on the West Coast start at the same time as the East Coast...

Does a show that starts at 9PM on the East Coast start at 6PM on the West Coast??

There's a up to a three hour delay from broadcast depending on where you live, unless it's a live event. Typical Prime Time time slots are divided up: One for Eastern and Pacific time zones, the other for Central and Mountain.

Eastern/Pacific is typically 8-11pm, while Central/Mountain is 7-10pm.

So if a broadcast show starts right now at 9pm in Jersey, Wisconsin will be watching it at the same time you are (even though it's only 8pm here), while the West Coast has three hours to wait yet (it's only 6pm there and they have to wait till 9pm). So there's a three-hour broadcast time difference between East and West Coast, even though the program technically airs at the same time (9pm). If you're in Denver, you have to wait another hour (it's only 7pm by you).

LOL, I've never bought into that. In fact, I've been known to change it up a bit...the only stupid question is the one that's already been asked and answered....pay attention dumbass.
