A MORAL objection (to spokes)?? You sure it's not a religious objection? Perhaps an ethical objection?
Cast wheels are unsprung weight. None other than Honda, when the cast wheels first appeared on the scene back when, steadfastly refused to put a cast wheel on their bikes. (Thus was born the Honda "Comstar" stamped wheel.) Oops, those didn't last long... ~~ My bike has spokes. It goes. and stops. It occasionally tours. It commutes. It cruises. For I HAVE no moral objection. And Damit to hell! I have it on the jack for maintainence now... and horrors! I cannot find any of these items: No fuel pump. No computer. No fuel injection. No stereo. No ABS. No O2 sensors. No power commander. No cigarette lighter. No tachometer. No hydraulic cam tensioner; nor primary tensioner. I've owned several bikes since 1969. This one I have now will be my last one. And I guess I'll just never know the peace of mind of rolling down the road, safe and secure on cast wheels. Wait a minute! I've NEVER had ANY trouble with spoked wheels!  I'm worn out... gonna go look for big boobied babes to post...
