I got no oil
Moved in here going on 5 years ago. First I filled up a couple oil pans. Then started pouring it in booze, juice and luandry bottles. Then got a 5 gallon pail, but it had no lid. When it got full, I got more jugs.
even ended up with a 3rd oil pan, from the neighbor, that I denied having when he came looking for it. I haven't seen it. Luckily his memory is riddled with as many holes as mine. Cleaned up good and will return. So I went out and bought one of those oil pan jugs with the spout and top, dumped the bucket and oil pans in there. Made a couple trips to dump it all off this morning and the town hall. Laundry jugs work best, they pour faster. 1/2 gallons of booze pour pretty slow. Asshole running it, tells his buddy on my first trip, oh you got time to go get another load. I come back with my 2nd load, and its hurry up I close at 11:30. Well I was out at 11:31, boo fucking hoo. Asshole never even said hello, even though we live in the same area, just hurry up. I am sure now I will empty the oil container as it gets full and never do this again.  Found some kind of critter trapped like dinosaur in premordial ooze, hope it wasn't the neighbors hampster.

Last time I did this, was three years of oil, which coincidently was how long I lived in my last house. Helps to have a barn. Its not going to be good for the bank when they go through this place after I die.

You know U can get on line and type in plasic barrels and find a location in your area that will give them to you or buy rather inexpensive. They come in 5, 15, 25 or 30 and 50 gal clear or plastic. or go to a resturant and see if they have any deep fat fryer oil cans [plastic] for used oil storage. I'm gonna get me a 15 gal and do a little engineering with plastic fittings so I can drain for recyle

sure you can buy them, but there are no stores in my barn at 9pm when I am doing this.
I thought about the cooking oil one. I also looked at 6 gallon water jugs. Water jugs have the spout at an angle. either a cooking oil or water cooler jug would work. The water cooler could be capped off with fernco type cap. I ended up buying a 15 quart oil pan type that had sealed top with spout for pouring. Bigger you go, heavier it is going to get. Either way, I am starting over.

take a 55 gallon barrel and set it up high and away from your wood stove in the shop. run a piece of copper tubing from said barrel to your wood stove and put a valve in line. pour your waste oil and what not in barrel. when your stove is burning you can let the contents of barrel drip into stove and burn it off.

Buy an old shovel like mine..... it blows the oil out while I ride, and I just top off the tank when it gets low. No oil changes, and no worries about getting rid of the oil.

5 gallon water jugs for a water cooler work great. You can get them at Home Depot for a few bucks. I go through about 10 gallons every two years.
My buddy Kyle had a bike shop here in Louisville. In the 3 years he was open we ended up with a very full 55 gallon drum. I can tell you this. A 55 gallon drum full oil is not easy to get into a truck.

I don't think I want to go over 5 gallons. There's no real reason for the average guy to anyways.
