How do you drain your hamburger grease?
If I'm cooking 1lb I use a frying pan. Scoop all the meat to one side, then take 2 paper plates to hold the meat in, and drain into a empty Ragu jar with a funnel.
If it's more than 1lb, then I use a pot, put the lid on it, use two oven mitt thingys and turn the pan vertical over the funnel. My ex-wife made spaghetti once and forgot to drain the grease. When she asked me how I liked it, I told her the truth. You know how that turned out!

If you really wanna drain the fat, once the meat is browned fill the pan with hot H20 to lift the grease away from the meat and then dump the water and put it back on the stove to boil off the residual. We've got a gizmo that's specific for that job; it's a semicircular strainer with a lip that fits over the edge of the pan. It's a single-tasker, but it makes life easy. I don't always go that route though, it depends on the mood, sometimes full-on grease burger is called for.

I've seen my wife use a strainer, and shake the hamburger in it.

We use ground turkey (not the high grade white meat) - no grease to drain! If I use hamburger we usually have 85-90% which doesn't produce much grease either - I just spoon it off and down the garbage disposal. (I know, I know - don't put it down the disposal. We don't have it very often.)
