Freaked out
I got to go see the power company in the morning to try and figure why my bill went from just under $200 in Aug to $647 for september...jeez-o-pete either the meter reader is crossed eyed or my meter is screwed up cause the usage of power for sept has been about the same or maybe even a little less than august.

Were the previous reads actuals or estimates? If they estimated it for a couple months, then read it, you could end up with a high bill. Thats pretty high though. But with summer ac, not 100% impossible.
Can you go online or do you have the previous bills? They should say if estimated. Should also have kwh reading from previous reads. Any bills oddly low? Are you on any kind of budget plan? The bad thing about budget plans if they estimate low, you could have a big bill at the end of the year. With summer AC, its not impossible. But that does seem high and I'd call.

My bills are very small.
1: I am almost never home. 2: I work nights. 3: Don't watch tv 4: Keep heat at 62 in the winter, air 79 in the summer when I am home. Most important....  5: Both my Neighbors have outlets on the outside and face my house. 6: I have green extension cords that blend in with the grass. 7: They seem to have much higher bills than mine.
