Cut me a little slack here.......
OK, so we know how it is when a guy yacks his ass off about a bike he USED to own, or WANTS to own, or his brother owns, so here I am about to yack my ass off about a bike I am waiting till Monday to see if I DO own!
History 101- Rode HD for a billion years (39 to be exact) then a nerve issue popped up, making my right leg go numb and useless after a mile, having a back break is nice, so I figured, sell it or crash it. I sold it, threatening the bastard that bought it with life damage if it pulled out of my drive way before I got inside. Went in, put all my HD shirts in a goodwill bag, and sat and cried my eyes out. Fast forward 8 years. I have open heart surgery, they cut me open like a fish (over 400 staples) and in the process, crush 3 vertebra. They do 3 corrective surgeries, 1 to fuse my neck, 1 to relocate my ulnar (crazy bone in elbow) and one on my wrist where the nerve attaches, and I can RIDE again! Last week the Dr says, yup, you can ride, but if you get on a BIG bike, and it falls and you try to catch it, you will ripe that ulnar nerve, and your arm will be toast, so think small! Daughter works at a HD dealer and calls me, "Come see what *I* got!" I go there today, and she has the prettiest blue 883 custom with 1700 miles on it, and a price to make a nun get giggly! SO, we do the paper work, and I wait till Monday to see if they approve the loan. IF I get it, you guys get ready to have more pics then your dirty ol eyes can handle. No, I am not going to chop, cut, alter, (well maybe pipes....and apes, yeah apes) it for a year or so, BUT I play to ride the crap out of it and smile EACH and EVERY mile! SO, if you got the faith, say a prayer for a buttugly ol beat to hell biker in Wis to get the bike. Thanks for reading this, I am stoked and cant wait. prof PS: Yea, that is ME on that beautiful sled, and they had to pry my sorry ass off it to sign papers.
