I didn't ride all the way. Trucked the bike to Ely, NV. Rode down to Vegas, spent a day there then over to Cottonwood for Smokeout West. Met up with some guys, did a little riding and a bunch of drinkin', headed out Sunday AM for NC. Not a lot of scenery the first couple of days thru AZ, NM, and TX. Got into OK, the scenery got better but everything else went for shit! The roads and drivers remind me of Alberta, roads rougher than hell and crazy drivers. Rode thru a helluva rainstorm, I've never rode thru rain like it, just came down in sheets! Highlicht of the trip was the ride thru AK, TN and NC, Asolutely beautiful! Best stop of the trip was Maggie Valley, NC at the Wheels Thru Time museum, best collection of vintage bikes I've seen and they say just about everthing runs! Smokeout East is a great event and as one of the guys we met said, makes the West one look like a bad office party. Lots of nice iron to look at and lots of cold brew! By the time we got to Rockingham my chain and sprockets were fried on my bike so we loaded it on the truck and headed for home. Our trip covered 16 states and 3 Canadian provinces by the time we got home. I put around 3,000 miles on the bike and around 8,000 on the truck. Me and the wife both had a great time and would recommend it to anyone!
