Be Careful Out There, Folks!
 SUV runs over motorcycle Originally printed at SUV runs over motorcycle | KVAL CBS 13 - News, Weather and Sports - Eugene, OR - Eugene, Oregon | Local & Regional News By KPIC.com staff April 18, 2011 MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. - A driver crashed her SUV into a motorcycle with two people on board Saturday afternoon. Ezekiel Smirl, 31, and Marcy Prince-Smirl, 41, got knocked off their motorcycle when a 2009 Toyota RAV driven by 50-year-old Brenda Pingle hit them and ran over their motorcycle at the intersection of 4th and Main in Myrtle Creek, Ore. The motorcyclists were taken to Mercy Medical Center and treated for sprains and possible torn ligaments. They were later released. Pingle was not injured but was cited for failing to obey a traffic control device. The crash destroyed the motorcycle and did front and side damage to the SUV. The motorcyclists were the last bike in a line of 8 motorcycles going through town on Main Street at the time of the crash.

Did she run a stop sign or stop light? Stop sign no excuse. But with a group of 8 bikes, there is a good chance they ran the red light, or cut it close to stay together. But she should have seen the first seven bikes, before that.
