too old for Lasik?
have to use up some of my medical bank money, I've been wearing glasses since I was in the 7th grade.. can't stand putting anything in my eyes, thinking about lasik? anyone have some info?

My mom got it in her 40s. Get a consult. Next to my education, best thing I bought. You got it 24hrs a day. Glasses suck. They fog up, you got to carry a spare, same with contacts.

i dont have any info for you but i can tell you my fatherinlaw had it done at 63 and he said it was the best money he ever spent wished he had done it long ago. so i dont think age is a factor at all

I've been looking at doing it for years, just haven't pulled the trigger; mostly due to the expense. Look into a place that has the iLASIK. That uses a laser to do the initial cut as well as the shaping. The old way uses a blade to slide the cornea, the laser is more precise. I know a bunch of folks who have had LASIK, none have had a bad experience.

I have been considering it for a couple years, but what I am afraid of is 10 years down the road they discover it causes blindness or something else no one thought about now.
