My workhorse.
Finding a truck last fall was realy hard. I dont want a new truck cause I work the hell out of trucks. Now tiht the new trade in plan where teh dealerships are giving top dollar for old junkers that get poor gas milage so they can be crushed made it hard to find a beater.
But I got lucky and found this old girl that was in better shape than I was hoping for. Now I have to take care of this one. LOL Its a 86 F150 with a 351 auto. ony 100,000 miles and runs like a scared rabit, gets about 18 mg highay and hauls a load ike tit was empty.

My 2000 1/2 ton gets 17 mpg. Destroying all those old vehicles was a waste. How much money, resources, and energy went into it?
My truck is getting a little rusty, and was a base model back then, makes me feel like a good ol boy driving it.

I ain't got one of those fancy extended cabs. Regular cab, with 8' bed. I know I will probably get extended cab next time, but I don't want to give up the 8' bed.

This truck has an 8 foot bed,,Now I have only had one extended cab truck before,,,a 1977 dodge D250 and it never seen a city,,,now there is a lot of parking lots in teh city I cant menuever arround but thats ok I can still walk good. LOL
The extended cab is the best thing I have ever had,,,Three toolboxes on teh floor and can still take a passenger,,,just need a place to sheath my varment rifle and we are set.

Oh and I had to remove the endgate before it broke my thumb opening it,,,Fords weak spot.

When parking I always look for spots by a driveway or intersection, so I can put in and out. The pivot points on my gate are rusted out and I have to reach my hands in to grab the rods under the handle. Gonna fix it one of these days. Keep vice grips and screw driver by the door for opennng and closing the hood.
