Bought a new work car today.......

.......my $500 Taurus wagon's tranny gave up the ghost last week so it was time to find a new work car.
I got 13,000 miles out of the little Ford and resold it for $200 as a "good engine" parts car so no complaints,I got my moneys worth and then some.
I managed to scrape up $2000 for a used car and started looking Saturday after the toy run.
I'd been watching a Chevy on craigslist drop in price almost daily so I figured he was a motivated seller, emailed a tentative offer a few hundred bucks less than his latest posting (my offer $2000) and he replied he could only drop $100.
The next day (today) he called me and caved in to my $2K offer so I called the wife and had her pick me up to go have a look,it was 50 miles from work and 65 from home, pretty far for after work but I figured if the car was nice I'd better not snooze or I might loose.
Well the little Chevy was every bit as nice as advertised, almost flawless inside and very straight with nice paint outside, everything works and it runs like a top.
It could use a front end alignment but other than that it's a super tight car.
It has high miles but very well kept and only 60K on a new motor,17mpg city & 25mpg highway so it's not bad on gas, about the same as my Taurus.
So what model Chevy you say?.......I knew you would be wondering by now.
Been a long while since I had a rear drive V-8 car and ohh! how I missed it!

She's a '93 Z-28 Camaro with the aluminum head LT1 5.7 V-8 (350)
It's lowered 2" with a suspension handling package and has Flowmaster mufflers, not as fast as my old '69 427 4 speed but it's still pretty fast.
Pics are from craigslist,I'll put up some better ones when I get her washed up and a dry day.

Wish I'd have kept this one,I had just stuffed in a built 427 Rat to replace the tired 327 Mouse and the hood wouldn't clear the Holley and highrise intake.
I had to fit a cowl induction hood later
She had a Super T-10 4 speed and would rock your world!

Many many moons ago,poor old photo's a li'l ratty.
