Been working on some boxed upper arms (teaching him some fab skills he doesn't know he has), will probably just spring for some polyurethane body bushings, and some sway bars.

That's a nice li'l Chevy,what does it have for a tranny?
I know a lot of those Chevy's from the late '70's early 80's had the turbo 250 tranny that is often mistaken for a turbo 350 but not nearly as strong.
They won't hold a lot of ponnies very long.
That would be the only weak link I could see if that is the case.
I guess if it is and fails it would be a good excuse to pop in a turbo 400 with a shift kit 'eh.
I'd sure like to have a Malibu like that for a daily driver,beats the hell out of my green Ford Tortoise (Taurus) wagon.

Has a 350 turbo Dean, I have pics of him some place changing it last summer. It did have the 200 metric tranny. He's doing a fine job so far and yeah i'm proud of him for doing the work himself.
