Sewed up the cuts I made in it, fleshing tonight. Waxed thread. A 2nd needle may be good idea, it bent.
Next is to tan it. Pickled it twice. Best to not cut it. Most of my accident were going to fast, thinking this is going good. Plus helps to use a fleshing beam of some type. I pulled it over a cedar post. No edges. Its in the chest freezer. I would casually by Karen with contractor bag. Best to not bring this up.

It has been pickled and shaved, which is thinning the skin. its been in the freezer for awhile. The tanning part is 18 hours in a chemicals. I need to do it on a weekend, so its done at a time I ready to take it out, and to be able to stir.
One dissapointment in myself on this, is I had to sew up some spots I cut. Hopefully they don't show. Sure its my first try, but its alot of work too. Put it over a 6" pipre or fence post when shaving with a knife. That way no edges, so less likely to cut it. I kept a stone next to me, cut running blade over it and wiping clean. so far the hair has stayed on well. I didn't salt it as soon as I should have and used wrong kind of salt, which is bad for hair retention.
