nice muley. tried to get one in Wyoming this year. didn't happen. got a couple does and an antelope though. was hunting for meat anyhow

I'd like to shoot a deer worth mounting some day. I got a 8 pointer, I shot in 04, hanging in the garage, plan is to mount the skull in a European type mount. Which is basicaly just the skull, without fur.

Done quite a few European mounts. I think they look pretty cool and it's a great way to save a pair of antlers without spending a ton of money.

It was a combination money and not quite good enough to have a full mount. basically, I got as far as cleaning most of the flesh off it. I did buy a kit last year from Cabelas. But was probably a waste of money. But I thought buying it would motivate me to finish.
need to finish cleaning, and then mount it. It is the biggest I ever shot though, 8pnt around 13" spread. Been a bit of a draught last few years. Changed camps. New one is farther away, and I don't come up until the night before. Snow country. Plus I just haven't been getting out as much I should. Those big big breakfasts are slowing me down.

We used to get together at the end of hunting season at the farm. We had a huge pot to put the heads into and just slow boil them for hours. When all the meat was gone off them we'd throw in some peroxide and boil some more, turned out great. Wouldn't recommend doing it in town if you've got picky neighbors, it stinks a bit!
