Twin Cam Breather Changes

Twin Cam Breather Assemblies
The plastic breather assembly, part number 17907-01, will no longer be included in
the following kits:
17045-99B - KIT CAM SERVICE 1450/1550/1680
17052-99B - KIT GASKET UPR END 1450/1550/1680
17053-99B - KIT GASKET ENG OVERHAUL 1450/1550/1680
Continue to use your current inventory of the above kits. No special dealer action is
required during this transition.
Later this year there will be a running change on production 2004 Twin Cam engines
to metal breather assemblies, part number 17650-02. This new metal assembly
supercedes the plastic and should be ordered for future services that require
breather assembly replacement.
Use the appropriate service procedures for the type breather assembly used during
service.
