We use a gas powered weed wacker with a blade. Nasty little thing. It will take down things up to a inch or so in diameter, and your toes if you get to close !

I bought a Woodmans Pal last night. $80, pricey. But I treated my self with some Cabela points, to something I normally wouldn't buy.
I looked at some others, the Germer Gator or something like that, that had a nice feel. But plastic handle. What sold me on this is how solid it is. This thing will out live me. Was developed in 1941 by Swiss imigrant, used by the military up until Destert Storm. Curious what they use now. This is what I love about this country, guy came here to make his fortune, found a niche and made it. Well I don't really know why he came here. I haven't used it yet. I am still looking for a sickle. I had one years ago. Great for cutting tall grass and small brush. Never ran out of string. Though Ihad alot more energy when I was 20. Now just get a pump sprayer and some Roundup. Keep that brush down and dead and you won't have to waste good riding time clearing it.
