I was with Verizon since they were Bell Atlantic Mobile. I agonized over moving to ATT since the majority of people have Verizon and all they tell you is that ATT's network sucks. After trying the Blackberry phones with Verizon, I made the jump and am perfectly happy with ATT. The iPhone is by far the best phone I've ever had and better than any I've looked at.
Are you with ATT now or would you be switching? If you're with ATT, it's a no brainer.

Can't help ya. I use a Blackberry. I don't mind the initial cash outlay, it's that monthly service for minutes/data plan/texting, etc. adds up. I keep the data plan to check weather radar when traveling on the bike. The iPhone is just a cooler way to get the same stuff. If you like it, buy it.
Have you seen the iPad yet?

I had Verizon for over 10 yrs but when I moved I could not get any service from verizon in my area so they let me out of my contract. Have had ATT for the past 2+ yrs never had any issue.

I have a blackberry now. Like it but I can get an upgrade now and figured instead of buying the ipod touch I could get both for the one price.. phone and something for music too.. I Have seen commercials for the ipad. have not seen it in person... looks pretty neat

OL just got rid of the iphone. She hated it. Now she has a sanyo incognito with sprint and loves it. I just upgraded mine from a Blackberry 7100i to a blackberry 8350i with nextel. Much better phone
