How many CY per TN or TN per CY
I work in the dirt biz LOL
our company deals with cubic yards not tonage. Once in a while I get someone who asks for something by the TN and I say we sell by the CY. I have been told a few times over the years being here but can never remember LOL. When they call they never have a clue but when I give my answer the keep asking their dumb Q OVER AND OVER... so I just pass them over to teh boss and let him try to explain it to them. :moony:make them stop LOL:pray2: LOL ok I was just bored.. seeing if any one else is around .. ~Prebs

Funny ~ I went to buy rocks and meticulously calculated the CY. They said that they sell by the ton, so my #'s meant nothing to them. The gal asked me the H/W/D of my space and told me the tonnage. She was spot on. Come to think of it, she was a real cutie. Do you want me to go back and get her formulas?

that would be real handy, need to get some topsoil to strighten out my yard. one place sells by the ton the other by the yard . just looking to get the most for my $$

Ask for the weight of a cu yd of the material you want , the figure the area you want to cover and convert it to tons.:resin:
