Swap Meet

Went to the Syracuse Swap Meet yesterday. Lunchbox was looking for parts for his Shovel. Didn't really find any thing. He did get a set of floor boards for his Fatboy and a pair of deerskin gloves. I got nothing. Really didn't find anything I wanted or needed. There was a lot of junk there. There were some nice bikes for the bike show. Fell in love with a nice Knucklehead. Enjoyed the show.

do u find deerskin any nicer or warmer than leather?? i bought some last season at the Oyster Run.. didn't find they were any different..

i find that i wear my fingerless gloves the most cause i have long nails..when i go to signal or brake or clutch, my gloves are restricting... i din't find the deerskin had any more flex to them.. what do u think?? is it that they r supposed to be tougher if u put it down? i heard that too..

other than being softer and a bit lighter, the biggest difference I noticed is that it doesnt hold Dye as well and seems to *bleed* easier when wet. But that might have more to do with the particular Tanning/Dyeing process use at the time.

Boyfriend bought them for himself. He likes them. They are unlined. He'll wear them in the cool weather. I bought a pair in New York a couple years ago and now I can't find them.
