How you Indiana boys doing?

Heard some may need to start building an Arc and loading up the livestock back there.

That's actually an old story. It was a friggin mess though, there are still some bridges out. The worst of it was the weekend we had the run down to KY. Some of the dudes who lived up north had some serious detours to get home. I guess news gets to the pacific NW a little slow, but thanks for checkin' on us anyhow.

High and dry here in east-central Indiana, Dean. By far the worst rain was in Illinois. Sadly, the story you referenced was dateline Martinsville, which had tremendous flooding the first week of June.

Sons' GF family, around Valporaiso, had about 8" of rain yesterday, and their house flooded. Sport-Ed is up that way... maybe he'll check in.

Ike did visit us yesterday, but just in the form of sustained winds of 40 mph, gusts of 60 mph. I lost a limb or two, power was off for a few minutes.

I shot this little piece in my back yard yesterday...

We were lucky.

Oops, just googled indy flooding and got that after I saw flooding back there on a national new show yesterday.
Good to hear ya'll are high and dry with the exception of Big D's Sons' GF family.
Hope'n Sport Ed's ok.
We had a 100 year flood out here twice in a decade so lots of folks this way can relate.
No prob at my place though,if the water gets this high it is time for an Arc lol.

We had 12" of rain here in South Bend. It was the first time we've even had water leak in through the walls of our basement after 19 years. The rain didn't stop me from celebrating my birthday on Saturday though. Sat out in the garage, cooked ribs, drank beer and then invited the neighbors over and then ended the night drinking tequila, (all my neighbors are Mexican and they have the best tequila!).

Hey..... just checkin in. Haven't been on much lately, but at least we are dry here. We had some minor seepeage, but my basement water issue fixes over the past 4 years held up nicely to this deluge....!

Not so for a bunch a folks round here though. We just donated some food and cleaning supplies to a local church, where they hand it out to those in need. We have some friends who have lost everything, and there are even some homes that have collapsed from pressure differences. The state is still trying to tally up enuff loss $ to get fed disater funding.

I-80/94 is still under water/closed in this area, as well as a few other popular routes... so traffic around here is nutty. 2-3 hours each way to work, when it normaly takes me 20-30mins. Rode to work on Monday, but my clutch hand just about fell off after 3 hours of crawling in traffic. Now I take the truck.
