Sat./Sun. Coast ride pics.

Left the house with a couple friends who were heading for the Washington Coast and we rode highway 4 down the lower Columbia River on the Washington side.
I was heading for Oregon with plans already made so we split up in Naselle,WA where I headed South for Astoria,OR.

Friends Nick and Herb on an '08 G-Wing and '08 Ultra with the O'ls on board,my O'l was at a baby shower so I was riding solo .(Woohoo)





Looking back up the Columbia at Mt.St,Helens in the distance just before crossing the historic Astoria bridge .



This bridge is 4 miles long crossing the mouth of the river a couple miles before it dumps into the Pacific Ocean.








Netarts Bay

I grabbed a deli sandwich and a 24oz St.Pauli Girl beer in Lincoln City then stropped at Gleneden beach for a picnic lunch.
These locals wanted me to share.

Uh Oh!....there goes the sun.



Time to head inland at Reedsport and get warm after temps drop from mid 80's to mid 50's almost instantly.
Here's a few locals sunning on the way to Elkton.OR. from Reedsport (guess how the town got it's name )











Took a break in the shade along the Umqua River before calling it a day.

Q: How to u "package" your cam when riding? any special way to take bumps and vibration?

I keep it in a camera case in the trunk or bags usually on top of a sweat shirt or other soft gear.
The O'l EG rides pretty smooth as well so it gets a cush ride.
