2008 startin out right

Just got in from a little polar bear run with Red and my brother Joe. Temp at the house was 32 wind blowing around 20 to25 mph wind chill probably around 25, spittin a little snow when we left. Took the sporty some coaxing to get started but like the Ol press the right button an she's purring. We rode about 35 mile to the waffle house had a cup and I headed home, as I've had one hell of a cold for the past week {probably regret it} but I was riding the 1st day in 2008 I didn't care if it was to the end of the drive way and back. Sure felt good feeling the cold air at 60 mph and I did not hesitate to open the sporty up in the gears and hit 100 a couple of times. Froze my ass off as I got all tore up when Red and Joe pulled up in the drive and said lets go. Threw the chaps long sleeve shirt boots coat and full face stocking cap on insulated gloves an I was off. Man what a feeling, cold oh hell yea, but what a feeling. Sporty ran like a top when she got over her shock of being started and the choke was off. Gave those rice burners a little run for all there big cc's, OL said you guys are crazy but have fun and be safe. Got home there was Black eyed peas cooked in country ham, mac and cheese and corn bread for the pot licker. Iced tea. what a way to spend the 1st day of 2008. Oh by the way this place ROCKS

Sounds like a great ride Snuffy. Mine's in storage and awaiting her new chrome lower forks. Besides by the time I got up we had snow on the roads. No chance of a ride today.

That's great Snuffy, Gary and I went on a New Years Day ride too. We rode about 175 miles in a group of 31 bikes. It was 36 degrees when we left and the wind was blowing 33 mPH. It was a great run though.
