just went a week without power. never heard so many people whining about their electric gizmos going dead. they would kill for a recharge. on a good note the ice managed to trim every tree and knocked our hedge row down to twigs.

dog is thawed and safe. his first snow and he ain't liking it. His brother knows better than to go out in that shit

I went one or two days, in IN. But that is not a week.

We went three days last summer after a tornado. I just fired up the generator and kept the fridge and freezer going. I'm preparing for the zombie apocalypse so a little power outage is no worry.

I been thinking about a generator for a few years. I will buy one, after the first big outage.

With a well, septic and propane, I could survive for a bit if I had a generator. Also thinking about wood stove. Will most likely get a stove for my camp next year.
