Well it turned out some what different than I thought. The DR seems to think I should wait till the pain is absolutely intolerable. He said, because there is screw in so close to the meniscus he can't quit see exactly what wrong do the the obstruction the screws cause in the MRI. He suggested I hold off for now. He also said that when I decide to do the operation, he is taking the screws out. He said they are no longer needed. As soon as he said that, the pain wasn't so bad anymore. I can remember how bad the pain was when they were put in, I'm just not so crazy about going through that again. I'm going to see our family DR. about this pain management they keep talking about. I think I'll give this a try before I let them back in for those screws.

I got some set screws from the side into my rod. They bothered me a little a bit, and I was wondering if I was going to have them removed. But now I don't notice them, more in the cold.
I imagine your body will tell you when its time. Though there is always the thought or 2nd thought, damn I wish I would have done this sooner.

The thing thats bugging me about this screw removal , the holes that are going to be left once the screws are removed. Doc said maybe a month of no real stress on the leg. Those fuckin holes are going to hurt like hell. Not to excited about that month. I set an appointment with our Doc as I said above to see what he has to say.

Hey Serg, sorry to here 'bout yer pain...fuck the precrips man, c'mon over Bro. Always have a bottle or two or Tequila on hand, and if'n that don't help......well, I got friends who can help with other pain relievers.

Thank you all for the very tempting offers. I'm hoping they just load me up with some good pain meds and send me on my way. For a wile that is. My girl and I are coming up with a financial plan so that when I do get the screws taken out and I'm off of work, it doesn't hit us so hard.

What it comes down to, is you have no choice, but to keep going.
Good idea about the financial plan. Not an issue for you, but for me if I need surgery, I would probably do spring. Snow removal is done. Hopefully heal up and enjoy as much of summer as I can. Could do fall, but I like fall, hunting and the weather. Maybe there is a season better for you, or an event you want to get to. Like my next brat fest. Eventually you will do what you need to do. You got no choice.
