sidecar
Rather than go with the Tri-Glide in the future, a good friend is recommending that I save up and put a sidecar on my FLSTCI later this year (though realistically........more like a couple years). It would cost a whole lot less, allows me to keep the bike I've got, provides better utility, is said to provide better stability than a 3-wheeler, looks cooler, and is more fun for the come-a-long.
Any thoughts...........I'm open to any ideas

I don't know what the new trikes are like, but I've ridden an Ultra with a sidehack, and I was amazed at the handling..... still all the thrills of riding, but ya don't haf'ta put yer feet down!

Side car would be cool. Check your e mail. I just got a e mail from a friend at work. I want a ride in one if you go that route.

Hell yeah, that's what I would do, especially considering what they want for the trikes.

About 3 miles from me is a paint'n body shop that also does trike conversions. It's a flat fee.....conversion kit, installation, painting......$13,000., regardless of bike make/model. I've talked to many, many riders with trike conversions, and while all have said they're happy they did it, all have some comment about handling, steering and stabilty. My understanding, after talking with both dealers and owners, the Harley Tri-Glide is hands and shoulders above conversions in handling, steering and stability, since the bike is engineered and built from ground up and not a conversion of two wheels to three. But at around $35 grand, it's a tough nut.
The brother telling me about the sidecar, says the outfit will perform much better than a trike conversion, and maybe close to that of the Tri-Glide, but offers many more options and benefits than a trike. He's ridden many of them and says he's always been happy with their ride and operation. I priced a few kits out and they all seem to be in the $4-6,500 range for kit, shipping and attaching hardware. Painting would cost above that, but I figure not that much. Besides, it might be kinda cool as I haven't ever seen that many on the road. Edited my post to increase pricing of sidecar..............started looking at options, ha,ha

That one is great. Liked the style of the one with the shark's teeth, but with a skull or hawk instead.
