RB Racing 2-1

Anyone have experience running these pipes? They are pricey and from what I understand there is a wait to get them on your doorstep.

I'm running a Daytona Twin Tech TCFI IID and their website recomends NOT running Thunder Header.

Before I spend $800 I'd like to hear from others with FI motors...

Wow! Overwelmed with all the input...

Have read quite a few negative responses on other forums regarding RB Racings customer service (lack of) and problems people have run into.

Even the people that love their RB pipes said they had hell getting them and they wouldn't do it again.

Go figure...

There are several folks over on XLF who run those on their sporties and have nice things to say about 'em. I never recall hearing anything particuarly negative about getting them. Could be they just don't make many for softails?

They are nice but damn, they are expensive and there is that wait. I run a supertrapp that i bought used and will continue till it rotts off. I like stuff that is adjustable.

I was referring to the actual number of units produced, if they don't make a large quantity for softies it could explain why you've heard complaints about having to wait for them. Don't know, but for what it's worth I won't buy anything from a company that has a bad CS rep.

Super Trapp & Boarzilla are the 2 companies I'm looking into now.

I just can't bring myself to risk anymore money for a screwing. Majority of the post reported customer service beyond terrible, finish or fit issues and some reported leakage at the welds that RB would do nothing about.

Definitely want a 2-1 pipe for my 124", it just has to fit with the original footboards and saddlebags...

the boarzilla will work better for your application.also ,you could make a RB pipe with a couple/few mandrels and a merge collector, not much to it.
