Winter wrenchin' and shinin' on the Super again
Well, Santa finally got here this morning, with a box of Drag Specialties thunder- Python Stagger Crossovers...
![]() ![]() These are actually made by V&H- these are Bigshots without the purty billet tips. I've heard these pipes... waiting on Fisherman to show one day, this dude on a softy rumbled by... I ran out in traffic to ask him what they were... Note to anyone buying parts mail order from all the houses... don't just click on the price... call 'em! I haggled like an Arab trader, and got an extra $36 off, with the economy as it is. Still on the lookout for my shocks...

This'll be Rant & Rave style...
So... got all these plans for this winters' bolt & shine... You saw the pipes... got more stuff coming. Got the sumbitch up on a jack, just in time for the worst cold snap in Indiana history. No problem... I can work in the semi cold.
2009 season Superglide update highlights **opened up my brand new Progressive 412 Covered "C" Chrome shocks (will look like Jammie's Shag) and they are "B"s. Black paint. Looked at the order. D ordered the wrong shocks. And then payed $21 for UPS to ship back to Cali. And paid $16 more to have the correct ones shipped to me. Minor stuff. No sweat. **on the right fork slider, pulled out my front spring to measure length. (was thinking of replacing w/Progressive 1" lower, but running outa cash) Klimer says, "Measure free length of spring. If less that 17", replace." OK. My spring? 21-5/8"! (Klimer probably written by that Guzzi driver) Then thought up alternate lowering plan. See below. **carefully measured 9.6 fl. oz. of H-D shock oil in old lady's Pyrex cup; snugged the slider up in my woodworking vice, got a clean funnel and carefully poured it in. As I did, I got to watching Barrett-Jackson auction on my little TV, and didn't notice that 9.6 fl. oz of bright red shock oil was pouring out the open bleed hole and onto my left Reebok. Important DIY tip- put the fuckin' drain screw back in before you fill it! I now have a white shoe, and a wine red shoe that squishes when I walk. Alternate lowering plan: gain 50 more fuckin' pounds. (Halfway there anyway.) ~~ Oh! I'm half done! It gets better! As in, "I'm lucky to be alive!"

leaving your front stock length will pick up the neck slightly, ( in relation to trail) will seem like front wheel is out there, more. You wont have a real noticeable effect on your handling, front wheel will feel lighter..
can't wait to see the new bling!
