06 FXDI Summer Mod Pics
Hadn't posted in a while. Been modding and riding. Here are a couple pics of recent work.
Picked up a set of take-off chrome rocker boxes and lifter block covers off eBay. After buying the gaskets and stuff, ended up costing about $200.00.  Also found an older FXDC console on eBay. Picked it up cheap and sent it off for some ghost flames. While I was waiting, I removed the console mounted fuel gauge and installed a flip-top style ignition switch in its place. I used the HD chrome fuel gauge trim ring as trim for the new switch. Had to do some cutting on the switch body to make it work. I put a chrome fuel cap and trim on as well. I got a emblem ring from a Wide Glide to go around the old ignition switch so it would be labeled correctly.    As always, feedback is welcome!! John

Gloss black is excellent.
Great idea on the flames without having to paint the tank.

Looks good man.
The flames add a nice touch without being over-stated. The ignition switch looks like it belongs there as well. Been thinking about that idea for awhile now. Did you bypass the fork switch altogether?
