Was up "nort", bench racin' with Hooty. Was telling him my belt was going bad, and driven pulley was pitted and crappy. He dove into the corner of his man-cave, rummaged around, and produced this- the exact pulley!
This thing is pristine... very few miles on it. Thanks, Hoosier XLC!  . BTW... my drive pulley is fine. .

Done. And pretty happy with the result.
Not too easy to bring up a wheelabrated (shot-peened) die casting up to smooth and shiny. The trouble with diecastings (as compared to billet) is porosity and how the metal flows. There were some spots that were pitted too deeply. I'm pretty happy with this. Had I gone after some of the pitting, I'd have to remove a whole lot more metal. And I took off LOTS of aluminum. Way more trouble that it was worth, but I got it out of my system.

Getting rid of the mid controls porthole on through the primary. No interest in keeping the ability to put mids back on it. I dont think my knees would bend that far anyway. So I did some farm tractor engineering to the inner primary to eliminate the useless shifter jackshaft.
1/2" bolt, O-ring, locknut... sliced off the jackshaft tube to 2" long, slathered everything in hi-temp Permatex, ordered a new cover, and shitcanned the jackshaft.

Old pulley. This suprised me. I keep an eye on this stuff, and this pitting happened in one years' riding (only 4k last season) This was roughing up the belt. The inner primary and tranny casting was covered with miniature NASCAR marbles everywhere.
 More attention required on the rear wheel- something I won't attempt. I'm having a new tire mounted next week, and I pinged around on the spokes and found a couple dead ones. I'll turn to professionals...
