Aight, I dont normally do this. but I believe Credit where Credit is due. Post 5k Service...had some *issues* come up. Wasnt gonna say anything, just planned on shopping elsewhere. In the course of a couple of conversations with the Service Dudes, they encourage me to bring it back in for a looksee.

At BEST I expected to pay full price. Ended up getting charged 1/2 price. I figured fair is fair, Time is money, peace of mind priceless, split the difference called it good and rode away.

Message waiting for me by the time I got home telling me that they decided to refund my charges... Although I HAve been burned by other Dealerships both here and in WA over the past 20yrs..(One place sold me the wrong part and refused to refund, but offered me a T-Shirt acct. in lieu of money).

... These guys are starting to restore my Faith. Kudos SHD.

I am probably missing something here, hope I am. First fast read it sound like you paid 1.5 times to get something done. They fucked you and you brought it back and they charged again.

I understand if something breaks on a bike, while they are working on it, and you need to come up with half way point on prices. Good dealer eats it, but I can live with inbetween, cause whay chose do you have.

But if I bring something in, and they fuck it up, I'd rather throw a brick through the window then pay 1/2 for them to make it right. Hopefully I am missing something. But sounds like they fucked up an oil change, and you paid them to finish it.


I have worked with lots of car mechanics, indies. But I just have had shit luck with Harley. Maybe its cause they know Harley can sell you a fucking ball of shit, and you will smile. No one paticular, just Harley buyers in general, myself included.
