Remeber this bike?

`

Here's some pics of my re-chop in progress. I decided there were a few things I wasn't liking about the original configuration after having put about 100 miles on it. It was just to short and I couldn't get comfortable on the seat in the space I had between the tank and fender. So I decided to re-chop it and make it about 9 inhes longer. Then my wife decided this should be here chopper and she likes this old Ness glass fender. So I had to make a fender strut and I will be making a short sissy bar so she can tie shit on. Those pipes were fucking LOUD!!! Right in my ear. Sounded like beautifull music at full song at about 10,000 RPM on the freeway. But for the wife I'm gonna put a sportbike muffler, upswept where the original pipes were. I'm still using shit I have laying around my shop. I think the little woman probably ain't gonna dig the apehangers either so I'll be making some different bars and probably use these on my KZ1000. She also wants the damn thing some kinda purple, so that will happen as well. I'll flake the hell out of it though. I'm also losing the side mount battery so I can put a bag on the left side. So basically the bike I just finished only existed for about 2 weeks. I may even change the tank. I've done some other little things too, cut out the ugly tin gussets under the tank. Ground off the old tank mounting hardware etc. I think I'm going to be mounting the electrics in an old horseshoe oiltank I have laying around, maybe not. I made a mount for the muffler last night but my camera ran out of battery. I may go otu tonight and try to fab up the pipes to connect the muffler up. Then it's seat mounts and........
