Beautiful!
I think it's great that you used a Harley Evo engine, and not some high buck billet monster engine. Great lines, great detail. I love looking at the lines of the high end choppers, but my favorite lines as far as tanks go is a variation of the Sporty p-nut, like yours. After looking your bike over, I just e-mailed twobitchoppers and asked Justin to quote me a cam cover with some lettering. How hard was it to get that internal throttle set-up installed and de-bugged? Man, I just ran some simple internal wire extensions down a set of buckhorns last winter and it about got the best o' me! Great job!

Shawn,
You have done very well with your first ground up build. Big D articulated all the important info and gave it a great review. the time and attention to detail shows. good job. ride with pride.

Thanks guys!
The internal throttle was a challenge because my bars have a dimple in them for the wiring. It took a bit of creativity but it worked. Here is a link to my actual build thread if you want more details. Shawn1340's Softail Project - Club Chopper Forums It's a long read since it took me 2 years to finish the bike. I went through a lot to get it done. |
