The Vette is a 99 C5 in Nasau Blue. It has the 6 speed and all the options except for the HUD. It is my favorite one yet. I'm not sure where it was made, I would have to dig out the build ticket to check.
I used to have a 1980 C3 but it was an automatic. As for the DNA frame, I think it is very good quality, strong and the welds were awesome. I liked the fact that it didn't have a center post the most. I had my own axel covers made because I wanted something unique. I did a bit of shaping with a grinder to smooth out a few edges and I added a 5th mount for the tranny. No trans offset plate was necessary either since it is already built into the frame. The primary did require a 1 1/2 offset spacer though. The bike seems to get more stable the faster I go. No sway that I've noticed.

What an awesome day!
Well, it's finally warm enough to ride again so today I decided to ride the bike into work for the first time. I parked it right in front of the building (on the sidewalk) and you should have seen the crowd that swarmed out to meet me. I thought the response at the World of Wheels show was something but it didn't compare to all of my friends drooling over the bike!
All throughout the day, I kept checking on it and almost everytime there were a crowd just staring and pointing to all the little details. It was quite a rush to celebrate the start of riding season that way! I just might have to ride it in again tomorrow.
