Armed Citizen
Good news for WI, and gun owners every where.
Bad side of town, guy tried robbing a grocery store, and an armed citizen stopped the robbery. Guy showed up at the hospital with a gun shot. Not known if that is the criminal. Not known if the citizen had a permit. Customer fires at armed robber, foils Aldi robbery | FOX6Now.com MILWAUKEE — An attempted armed robbery was foiled Monday night, after a customer took out his gun and shot the suspect. It happened around 7:00 Monday night at the Aldi store near 76th and Villard on Milwaukee’s north side. Milwaukee police say two men are in custody for the attempted armed robbery. As far as the man who shot the suspect, not much is known about him at this time, including whether he was legally able to carry a gun under the concealed carry law. However, on Tuesday, some said that doesn’t matter. Police say the suspect came into the Aldi store armed with a shotgun, with the intent to rob the store, but the suspect left empty-handed. A customer pulled out his weapon, and shot the suspect. Larry Rowell is the owner of Hart Auto, across the street from where this incident took place Monday night. He says the customer who fired his weapon is a hero. “To me, he’s a hero. I believe he’s a hero, and I believe he did the right thing, and I would’ve done the same,” Rowell said. Rowell says since the price of metal has gone up, a lot of catalytic converters have been stolen off his front lot, and there’s been vandalism. In recent days, someone shattered the window of a Jaguar, and stole the entire console from the car. Someone also took tires and rims off a Lincoln Navigator after closing time. Rowell says he was fed up, so he applied and was granted a permit to carry a concealed weapon to protect his business. “Then, I can take matters into my own hands, like what this guy did at Aldi last night,” Rowell said. It’s unclear whether the customer who fired at the suspect during the Aldi robbery had a concealed carry permit. Regardless, Rowell says he should be thanked. “We know the average citizen might be helping the business owner too, by solving crimes, so I’m happy for this – what he did last night,” Rowell said. Milwaukee police say the customer is expected to report to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office for his role in stopping the crime. No customers or employees were injured Monday nigh

Aldi's prohibits concealed carry. This is the only store I know of that has a sign posted. I haven't seen any.
Which could explain why the criminal targeted. But the hero, broke the law. Have to wait and see what happens to him.

Guy who was shot and another guy, are believed to be linked to other robberies. Probably find out they had a record, hug a thug from the court system. My guess.

Little more info today. There were two robbers, with shotguns. One sticking it in the face of a clerk.
Grocery store at 7pm, is very bold.

Actually, I hope the guy did not have a permit.
If he had a permit, and then violated Aldi's carry rule, all the fuckin' anti-gun fucks will have a great time using it as a "see, they say they follow the law by getting the permit, but then disregard that same law's requirements." The fact that the outcome was good for the "good guy," and bad for the "bad guy" does not matter to them.
