| Bond Derringer Bought a Bond Derringer today. .45lc/.410, Beefy gun. I bought a Davis .38, put it failed. You could hear the springs strertching when it was cocked. I really liked that I took it everywhere I went, just about. Grabbed my wallet and the derringer. My snubnose, I didn't take as much. You can't predict when you will need it. I know lots of folks don't like derringers. A legal shooting will generaly be close range. Not giving up my bigger guns, I just like having a pocket pistol. All the barrels on the Bonds are interchangable. I may buy a long 45. Kid at the counter recommended cowboy loads. Trigger guard is removable. Texas Defender | Bond Arms inc

| American Derringer gets good reviews, but I couldn't cock it with one hand. The Bond, I could it. Plus interchangeable barrels is cool. Get a long one for shooting.

| That's a heavy pistol. Is there some reason you won't by automatics? The ruger LCR in .357 weighs less.

| I have a Ruger SP101, with a bobbed hammer. Also got S&W 696, 44 spcl, that I used to wear in the small of my back, with a vest, when I rode in IN. I am not saying never as for a semi auto. But I don't like when I hear people say I tried this ammo or adjusted that. For self defense, I don't believe in that. Keep in mind I am an engineer. That .22 pistol I found is jamming. Maybe new clip, but its 60 years old can I find a clip? I don't know if this is more reliable then a semi auto. But when I had one before, it was with me alot. On that note, I may consider a pocket .380. Its still a semi auto, but better chance of having it with me. I think you should have a gun with you at all times, cause you don't know. But in the real world that will not happen. So to me, if I have a small gun, when I think I won't need it, I am ahead. The bond is alot heavier then my Davis, who are now out of business. So I don't know if I will carry it as much. May not be the gun you throw in your flannel. But can you have to many guns or bikes? I read at the store ammo and guns are non returnable. Married men pushed for that rule. Only good gun control law I know of.

| I was bar hopping in IN. Cops behind us. I mentioned I had a gun, and a permit. Chick said if we get pulled over she would shove that thing in her pussy. I haven't talked to Karen about that.

| The LCR is a 5 shot pocket revolver. It weighs only 14 ounces in .38 or 17.5 in .357.

| I have seen the LCR on the website, but never held one. Probably lighter then my sp101. I have/am considering an alloy sbubnose. The allot S&W are $$$, pushing 1k. Plus S&W has the internal lock. My snub SP101 is a decent carry gun. But I think it is 25 oz. Heavier then LCR. Truth, I just wanted this gun. I came into some money I loaned out, that didn't expect to see back. Fool and his money....
