Taurus???
So what are your thoughts on Taurus. I have always been skeptic of them, but it mostly based on loose talk. I have only fired one, and it worked.
One guy told me he bought one, cause they bought S&W old revolver production equipment and Berrettas 9mm. The prices are good. Not made in America. But atleast not China. When I took at revolvers, I see three brands, S&W, Ruger, and Taurus. When looking at new guns, I don't want S&W's Clinton safety, so that leaves Ruger.

I have never liked them. Their revolvers aren't bad but not as well made as old S&W. I would like to note that I don't like the new S&W revolvers either and Taurus and S&W are comparable in todays newly produced guns. They don't come close to the pinned and recessed S&W guns. I don't like their autos at all. I know people that do like Taurus revolvers.
They do make a .45 Colt/.410 short barreled revolver that looks interested but they have always had quality control issues. I've never personally owned a Taurus but I've shot more than a few of them.

I saw 6" 45LC/.410, that I thought was interesting, but I don't know about Taurus. Ya some people like them, but there seem to be enough people that don't, that makes me wonder.

I don't think your going to have any problems out of a Taurus revolver. If you like the .45 colt/.410 idea go for it if the price is right.

I think it would be fun, but I am not sure if it is just a novelty. All the ones I have seen are short barrell. I saw one with a 6", but went back and it was sold.
I find the .410 load interesting, but don't really have a use for it. Maybe mount it to the tractor when I am cutting grass, run down varmints. ha. What I really wonder about with the Judge, is can it handle lots of shooting. It doesn't look like a stout gun like the Redhawk. Guns are selling fast here. I like to go to Cabelas since they got lots of stuff, and people are just lined up. They recently put in a new section just to handle applications for guns.

I have a Taurus model 85 Ultra Light in .38SPL. I have no complaints against it. I got it for concealed carry. It goes bang when the trigger is pulled, so that's good enough for me. It has a 2" barrel, so I dont expect it to drill holed at anything more then 25 yards. As long as it will hit a torso sized target if needed is good enough for me.

Hell, I site my 30-06 in at 25 yards. Not sure if I could much with my SP101, with 2 1/4 at that range. But the noise might give me a chance to flee.
