Talking about snubbies. I just bought this last week. S&W Model 19-3 2.5" bbl round butt. Made in 1972. Haven't shot it yet. I also bought a S&W Model 66 4" bbl square butt made in 1976 and never been fired.

You need a fourth die to properly crimp pistol rounds. Revolver bullets need a cannellure to accept a roll crimp. I never crimped my .357 rounds though and they haven't come loose enough cause a problem.

Taper crimp semi-auto brass or it won't headspace properly.

I don't reload enough to use a progressive press. It's easier for me to use a rock chucker and set one die at a time. I reload a hundred or so during development and then a couple hundred at a time afterwards. Setting up a progressive typically means a thousand rounds to me.

At my advanced age I'd forget how to reload after I shot a thousand rounds each of 45, 38, 357 and two loads of 9MM. It's easy enough to get a couple hundred rounds a week out just screwing around after work. Tripling that wouldn't be hard but it'd feel a little like work.
