Saturday night, underage party busted. 20 year old shot on neighbors porch. Not a good first case to be reviewed by the castle doctrine. Castle doctrine still requires you to be in danger.

I suspect this will go bad. But it was still 20 year old drunk man, hard to say what happened. This isn't a 13 year old kid, and he may have been trying to get in, when the cops come.

SLINGER, Wis. -- A noise complaint at a house party ends in the shooting of a guest, putting into play a new law about when a homeowner can use deadly force.The district attorney must now evaluate the evidence in light of a law just three months old.Friends and family are still trying to piece together how a noisy house party ended with the shooting of West Bend East graduate Bo Morrison."I'm angry. I'm sad everything," Morrison's friend, Steve Galbreath, said.Police found 20-year-old Morrison dead on the porch of a Slinger home early Saturday morning.Morrison had been a guest at a party next door. Friends said he and others took off when police arrived to check out the noise. They didn't want tickets for underage drinking.A short time later, the man next door called police to say he'd shot an intruder.Prosecutors said man is free and cooperating while they investigate.This will be the first time Washington County District Attorney has reviewed such a shooting since the governor signed a new law allowing a homeowner to shoot someone entering his dwelling under certain circumstances.Under the law known as the Castle Doctrine, a person is privileged to use force against someone unlawfully and forcibly entering his dwelling. The law defines dwelling to include porches."He took one bullet and killed my son," victim's mother, Lauri Morrison said.On Sunday, Morrison's mother grieved for her son. On Monday, she was reserving comment as she waited for a decision from prosecutors, but Galbreath believes the homeowner should have know Morrison meant no harm ... guests said that same homeowner had complained about the noise."It's not right that he went into house, I suppose, but he should have known they were friends, kids running around from a party," Galbreath said. "He knew what was happening, he knew called the cops."Prosecutors said they continue to investigate. A decision could be several days away.

Tough case. It'll boil down to how good a lawyer he can afford, they'll have to show he feared for his safety at least that's how it works here). It wasn't smart of him to "cooperate" with the police. Better to STFU and let the lawyer talk. It'll be interesting to see how it unfolds.

It is hard to say. Did he come out shooting cause he heard someone, or was the guy trying to get in, thinking he was at the house with the party, after the cops left.

Family member had drunk kid sleep on there couch one night. Not sure if they found in the morning or middle of the night.

More has come out on this, that what the liberal media has been saying. The 20 year old who got shot, that they are holding the vigil for, who was such a sweet boy, wasn't supposed to be at the underage drinking party, since he was on probation. Arrested numerous times for resiting arrest, bail jumping, battery, numerous alcohol related charges. Plus you don't know what he did as a minor.

They had it sound like he was on an open porch. The porch is enclosed, windows, door, ect, like a sun room.


Every time I hear about these little darlings he get shot, while doing something they shouldn't have been, I am very skeptic. When I used to watch the Chicago new, you would here it all the time. My darling sweet boy killed himself while trying to outrun the cops.

They decided not to charge the homeowner. Which I think is the right use of this law. The burden should not be on the homeowner to figure out what the person who is there illegally has for a motive.

More came out on incident. Underage party in a garage. Guy was woke up in the middle of the night by load car stereo. He told the girls in the car to turn it down they told him off. He calls the police. The partiers in the garage block the door so the cops can't get in. So the cops call owner at work, women. She calls her husband who didn't answer the door, cause supposedly he was sleeping. Husband kicks in the garage door, and the underage drinkers go running.

Didn't say if they were allowed to be in the garage, but if they were allowed, he would not have had to kick the door down. The guy got shot went and hid inside a guy's porch, between fridge and dresser. Didn't say if the door was locked. Home owner came down stairs 2am, the guy came forward, and he shot them.

It should not be up to the guy who has a wife in the house and a number of children under the age of 10, to figure what is going in the blink of eye.

Of course people went on about the poor boy, who was a good boy ect. He had a number of arrests for resisting arrest. Was on probation, and shouldn't have even been at the party. Plus what ever we don't know about as a minor.


Though if it wasn't for the 21 to drink law, you wouldn't have so many of these kids getting drunk and roaming around and driving.


Some liberals are trying to repeal the Castle Doctrine, because it was passed by Walker, and because they usually side with the criminal and not the victim.
