Wisconsin, Indiana, and other states with conceal carry must have gun fights in the streets just about every day. We "fibbers" don't want to have to stay in Illinois all the time just to be safe, so it's nice that we can now protect ourselves even in these wild west kind of states.

56k people have applied for the permit, 1% of the state. I thought it would be higher. Though it is less then 2 months.
I also don't think the number will be huge, I don't think every one will be packing heat. WI has a lot of rural areas, where people may not feel the need. Also the class may be holding some people up. Most people over 40 probably have not take hunter safety, since it is not to required over a certain age.
